Sarah Dodson

Miss Sarah has been with Community of Faith for 7 years and is the Learning Center Director. Just after high school Sarah attended Polk Community College where she received her AS degree in Child Development. While working as a teacher she completed her degree in pre-law studies at Everest University. She is currently wrapping up her Bachelor’s degree in Child Development and will continue on to complete her Master’s in Education Leadership. Sarah is married and has 3 daughters who keep her very busy. During her spare time she enjoys reading, art festivals, museums, traveling, and fishing.

What is your favorite Scripture verse or passage?
My favorite scripture is in 1 Corinthians 13:13 “And now these three remain: is faith, hope, and love. But the greatest of these is love.”

What was your childhood ambition?
When I was a child, my ambition was to change the world. I would tell anyone and everyone about Jesus.

What was your first job?
I volunteered at a soup kitchen where I would sit with the homeless and just talk to them about Jesus; his unconditional love, and teachings of love still amaze me today.  At 15 years old my first job over the summer was working for a hotel in Kissimmee, as a maid.

What is your favorite food?
When it comes to food what isn’t there to love so many to choose from. My favorite would have to be Italian.  I love pasta and bread sticks.

What would a perfect day be for you?
A perfect day for me would be a sunny day, with a hint of coolness in the breeze while being on the beach with my daughters.

What are your favorite characteristics of Jesus?
Jesus had so many great characteristics, but the ones that are my favorite is his selflessness, kindness, compassion, and his love.
